This molded glass "trumpet" and "bell" components, with delicate petal edges is a highly valuable, premier, collector's piece from the retro mid century era. Vintage Haskell faux pearls are famous for their beautiful nacre. The signature antiqued "Russian Gold" electroplated brass finished back and coiled wire filigree and overall design is characteristic of iconic designs by Frank Hess (Haskell's master designer from the late 1920's through 1960).
Haskell jewelry made before 1947 was completely unsigned. This piece is unsigned, and has the distinctive "Haskell style" building traits (like the unique way elements are wired or sewn down).
Because of the high quality glass components and the sheer complexity of the floral bouquet arrangement, this specific style of Haskell brooches is heavily sought after.
