André Courrèges, French fashion designer who was particularly known for his streamlined 1960s designs influenced by modernism and futurism, exploiting modern technology and new fabrics. Courrèges defined the go-go boot and along with Mary Quant, is one of the designers credited with inventing the miniskirt.  He founded the luxury brand fashion house, Courrèges.  (Wikipedia)

This dress has the sleek 1960's look, with sheer cotton stripes combined with mercerized (slightly shiny finish) that gives it a finer, more elegant vibe than a typical cotton dress.  This dress is very well made.
