Pauline Trigere Bespoke Gown | Two Piece Dress

Pauline Trigère was a famous French and American couturiere. 

A Los Angeles Times writer described the glamour of Trigère's clothing: "They seem to lend stature or stage presence even to those who don't look commanding in some other designer's outfits. By virtue of their couture-type structure and tailoring, they make even average-height women look statuesque."

Trigère's fashions were worn by many famous women including Beverly Sills, Evelyn Lauder, Lena Horne, Angela Lansbury, Bette Davis and Wallis Simpson.  She also designed many costumes for Patricia Neal in Breakfast at Tiffany's.  (Wikipedia)

This Pauline Trigere piece is elegant and beautifully constructed. The mesh outer piece drapes over the silk slip in a stunning silhouette, making the vintage piece harken back to the fashion of Cass Elliott and others. 

There are 2 pieces to this set; a black silk slip and a sheer silk outer dress.  The pieces are completely detached and can be worn together or separately.
